Mark your calendars for Sunday, November 1, 2026! Join Westside Food Bank's 36th Annual 5K Hunger Walk at Ocean View Park. We are walking to help those facing hunger in LA County. This free event is family-friendly and a great way to raise awareness and show your support. All walkers will receive a T-shirt and a swag bag for participating. Let’s come together to make a difference in our community!

Agenda:
Check-in begins: 12 p.m.
Pre-walk festivities and Expo: 12 p.m. - 2 p.m.
5K walk starts: 2 p.m.

Pre-Walk Festivities and Expo!

Here's some of what to expect, starting at 12 p.m.:

  • Shake Shack will be serving up lemonade and providing its spin-the-wheel for prizes
  • GoodRx will have a table offering our walkers more swag
  • My Gym will provide pre-walk exercises for the youngest kids
  • Sandy Days Kids Camp will have an arts and crafts tent
  • SMC Men's and Women's Volleyball team players will share demonstrations
  • Special classical ensemble Fivemind Reeds will be on site sharing music
  • Von's Pharmacy will offer flu and COVID immunizations (bring ID and insurance info)
  • Raffle tickets will be on sale. Prizes include gift cards for Target, SusieCakes, Peet's Coffee, Salt & Straw, Fogo De Chão, Stonefire Grill, In-N-Out Burger, yoga sessions, museum tickets and kids activities. There will be special auction items including hotel stays at Shutters on the Beach, Petit Ermitage and Elsewhere Topanga. Come and check it out -- all for a great cause!
